Meet Cosmos
From a Costa Rica street dog to the heart of Pacific Claw.
Cosmos found us near Jacó, Costa Rica. Hungry, flea-covered, and wearing a scar on his nose, he settled beside Andrea at the pool. She offered him kindness—and a hamburger. He offered us a place in his world.
Three days later, we brought him home to Texas.
He had been called Pinto. We named him Cosmos for his markings and the universe of possibility that opened when he came into our lives.
Small dog. Big coastal spirit.
On Costa Rica’s beaches, Cosmos loves chasing Halloween crabs. He has never caught one, but his enthusiasm helped inspire Crabby and the colorful world of Pacific Claw Co.
Now he is our Chief Barking Officer, our constant companion, and the little rescue dog behind “Cosmos Approved.”
His story is a reminder that a second chance can change everything. That same spirit runs through Second Wave: rescued pieces, given a new life and looking for a good home.
